Karmen Funding Limited (trading under the style of “0800Pension.uk”) provides claims management services in connection with the pursuit of financial mis-selling claims in respect of pensions and investments. The services provided by 0800Pension.uk include investigating and advising on the basis for potential financial mis-selling claims and assisting in pursuing a claim for redress and/or compensation where appropriate.

In very brief terms, the following are the typical steps 0800Pension.uk will undertake in the course of providing claims management services: (a) obtaining initial instructions from you as to all relevant circumstances giving rise to the claim; (b) assessing the information provided and advising you as to the possibility of making a claim; (c) preparing the necessary documentation for a claim to be submitted to the relevant respondent; (d) engaging the respondent to the point of admission or rejection of the claim; (e) advising the client of the outcome and procedural steps including (without limitation) as to settlement terms.

Actions you may need to take.

0800Pension.uk considers that client co-operation is paramount in the claim process as it enhances the prospects of success. Actions you may need to take during the claim process are: (a) providing information and instructions when requested and promptly; (b) completing paperwork; (c) co-operating with 0800Pension.uk at all times in the course of the claim process; and (d) not misleading 0800Pension.uk in any way.

How 0800Pension.uk Keeps its Clients Updated?

Throughout the claim process, 0800Pension.uk will provide you with regular updates with details of all material developments and a cumulative written update will be provided on no less than 6 month intervals. 0800Pension.uk will communicate with you via telephone, post, email & SMS messages.

0800Pension.uk Fees.

We work on a No-win No-fee basis so if your claim is unsuccessful, we will notify you and your file will be closed with no charge being made. If we are able to recover any funds for you, we charge a success fee of 36% of any funds we recover on your behalf. The below fee illustrations are for illustration purposes only and are not to be taken as an estimate for the amount likely to be recovered on your behalf.

Important Note: If the redress recovered by 0800Pension.uk is used or applied by the respondent towards arrears owed, the client remains liable to pay out of his/her own funds the fee chargeable by 0800Pension.uk

Your Right to Cancel.

You can cancel your agreement with 0800Pension.uk at any time within 14 days of signing our terms & conditions without giving any reason and without incurring any liability. You can communicate cancellation of the 0800Pension.uk agreement by telephone, in writing, or in person.

Your Right to Terminate.

You can terminate your agreement with 0800Pension.uk at any time after the 14 days cooling off period (as explained above). In the event you cancel after 14 days, 0800Pension.uk reserve the right to charge you for any work carried out on your claim. Any fees charged in these circumstances will be subject to a cap of £450 and you will be presented with an itemised bill explaining what you are being charged for. 0800Pension.uk’s full fees will become due if you ultimately receive an offer for compensation or redress resulting from work carried out by 0800Pension.uk before the termination of our agreement.

Alternative Redress Schemes.

You do not need to use a Claims Management Company to complain to your financial adviser or pension company and if your complaint is unsuccessful you can submit your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service for free (www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk). If your financial adviser has ceased trading, you may be able to submit your complaint to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme for free at:- (www.fscs.org.uk).
